Quizzes
Taking a quiz
- Open the quiz lesson. It tells you how many questions you'll get.
- Press Start quiz.
- Answer each question. Some questions say Select all that apply: choose every right answer.
- Press Submit answers.
A question you leave blank counts as wrong. On a "select all that apply" question, you need every right answer, and no wrong ones, to get it right.
If you leave before you submit, the same questions are waiting when you come back. Your answers aren't saved until you press Submit answers, so you'll need to choose them again.
After you submit
You see your result right away:
- Your score, and how many questions you got right.
- Each question, marked Correct or Incorrect.
- Your answer and the correct answer for each question.
- An explanation, when the creator wrote one.
Retaking a quiz
Press Retake quiz to try again. You can retake a quiz as many times as you like.
Each try picks its questions at random. You may get different questions, or the same ones in a different order.
After more than one try, the page shows your best score.
Finishing a quiz
Quizzes don't have a Mark complete button. A quiz counts as done as soon as you submit it once, whatever your score.
The creator decides which quizzes are required:
- You need to submit every required quiz to finish the course.
- An optional quiz doesn't count toward finishing the course. You can still take it.
Your grade
Some courses give you a grade. A quiz that counts says: This quiz counts toward your course grade. Your best score is used.
- Your grade is the average of your best score on each quiz that counts.
- A required quiz you haven't taken yet counts as 0% until you take it.
- An optional quiz counts only after you take it.
Your grade shows on the course page as Current grade while you work, and as Grade once you finish the course. Retaking a quiz can only raise your best score, never lower it.
