Finding and taking your courses

Finding your courses

After you sign in, you see your courses. Use ← My courses at the top of any page to get back to them.

  • On a creator's own website, you see the courses you have from that creator.
  • Everywhere else, My Courses lists every course you have, from every creator.

Each course shows how far along you are. Select a course to open it.

The course page

The course page shows the course contents: its sections and lessons, in order. A check mark (✓) shows each lesson you've finished.

  • Start Course… opens the first lesson.
  • Continue Course… opens the first lesson you haven't finished.

You can also open any lesson from the contents list.

Lessons

A lesson can have a video, text to read, or both.

  • Resources (links and files) can appear above the lesson, below it, or both. Some files download when you select them.
  • The links at the top and bottom of the page go to the previous and next lessons.
  • On the last lesson, the forward link goes Back to course.
  • On a phone, tap Course contents to see the full list of lessons.

Marking a lesson complete

When you finish a lesson, press Mark complete and continue. It records the lesson and takes you to the next one. On the last lesson, the button is Mark complete and finish.

Quizzes work differently. See Quizzes.

"Mark this lesson as complete?"

Sometimes you'll finish a lesson and click a link to go somewhere else. The site may ask whether you want to mark the lesson complete before you move on.

  • Press OK to mark it complete and go on. Press Cancel to go on without marking it.
  • It asks only once per visit, and only after you've read to the end or watched most of the video.
  • It doesn't work with every video player, so you may not always see it.
  • If a lesson has a video and text, it may remind you about the part you haven't finished yet.

The Mark complete button always works, prompt or not.

Your progress

Once you open your first lesson, the course page shows how much you've done, like 40% complete. Inside a lesson, the list of lessons shows how many you've finished.

You finish the course when every lesson is complete. If the creator adds new lessons later, the course can go back to in progress until you finish those too.

Undoing a completion

Marked a lesson complete by mistake? Go to the course page. In the course contents, press Undo next to that lesson. Quizzes have no Undo: a quiz counts as done once you submit it.
